How do I take care of my new addition?

 

STERLING SILVER

All of our silver jewellery is solid sterling silver and its important to handle all of your these pieces with care. Sterling silver is a soft and malleable metal that can be bent or broken if its been handled with force, stored incorrectly, knocked or dropped. when storing your jewellery it should be in a jewellery bag or box so it stays in great condition and lasts longer.

The chains on our necklaces are brilliant quality but because of the softness of sterling silver they can still be broken if pulled, snagged or tugged in a rough manner.

Should I clean my jewellery?

Sterling silver has the ability to tarnish if it is not looked after properly.

With every order Wind & Soul will include a sterling silver polishing cloth. Keep this cloth safe as it will keep your new additions clean and shiny. A silver polishing cloth can be used whenever you're wanting to give the piece a clean. If you have misplaced the cloth it is okay to wash with warm soapy water but make sure you dry it properly to avoid any tarnishing. Gentle silver polishing may also be used when cleaning your sterling silver jewellery.

Is my jewellery water proof?

Yes,  All of our jewellery is quality silver and waterproof.

Although it is waterproof its best to avoid having it in water with strong chemicals or salt if you can because strong chemicals and or salt will erode parts of the jewellery and may cause stones or shells to come apart from the silver. Please be diligent with cleaning the jewellery after any contact with the water, lotions or hairsprays etc.. to avoid any tarnishing or faults.

The jewellery will tarnish if it is not cleaned and dried properly after being in contact with salt water, chlorine, lotions, perfumes etc. If not it will be more prone to faults and tarnishing.
